“We took a day trip from Tirana to Budva and Kotor on May 12 with our amazing guide and driver, Gino. The drive started through flat Albanian farmland, then turned twisty in Montenegro—beautiful but tough if you get motion sickness. The border crossing took about 30 minutes. Budva’s Old Town was a highlight—charming and less crowded than Kotor, which was packed due to a cruise ship. We had a great lunch at Hotel Mogren and loved the fresh lemonade with mint. Kotor’s walled city and local market stalls were fun to explore. A traffic jam on the E80 due to roadwork slowed us down, but Gino’s knowledge and great driving…”
